Investment Information
The Community Foundation
has adopted a balanced investment strategy for all its
assets. These guidelines are available in the Foundation's Investment Policy Statement.
All investments of The Community Foundation are overseen
by a pro-bono Investment
Committee, comprised of principals in a number of
local investment firms and banks. This team of experts works closely with our investment managers to
oversee the investments of The Community Foundation.
The Foundation uses the services of local investment firm, Sargent Bickham Lagudis. Sargent Bickham Lagudis manages 90% of the Investment Pool, which is
the vehicle for the majority of the Foundation's endowed and unrestricted
funds. Additionally, The Community Foundation believes that it is important
to have a portion of the Investment Pool in Socially Responsible
Investments. First Affirmative Financial Network manages the remaining 10%
of our Investment Pool using positive screens and working closely with the
Investment Committee.
A portion of The Community Foundation assets are managed by other investment
managers that come from the recommendation of fundholders. If an individual
would like to open a Donor-Advised Fund, with a minimum of $250,000, they
can request that their manager be able to manage their fund. Those managers
also adhere to our Investment Policy Statement and attend quartely Investment Committee meetings.
