Time for Morgan and Max on "It's a Public Affair" on KGNU

On Monday morning, turn on your radio and tune in to 88.5 FM for a fresh episode of the Community Foundation's radio collaboration with KGNU. From 8:35 AM to 9AM, KGNU's "A Public Affair" is hosted by the Community Foundation's Morgan Rogers and Max Taffet. This fourth Monday of the month the duo take on the topic of Boulder County's community openness and attachment. Guests to this months program are Paula Ellis, VP of Strategic Initiatives at the Knight Foundation, and Perla Delgado, from Boulder County's Community Action Program.

NOVA Award Nominations Due April 9, 2012

The Community Foundation's very own Morgan Rogers and Max Taffet will once again host KGNU's "A Public Affair" program at 8:30am, Monday, February 27th.

Community Foundation Gives TED talk at Knight Foundation Conference

 The problem Boulder County identified was a huge achievement gap between low income kids and their peers from middle or upper income homes. “Not everyone gets an even start in life,” said the foundation’s Chris Barge. “Children show up to kindergarten with folks who aren’t prepared, who even at kindergarten are so far behind that they are not likely to go to college.” Research showed that Boulder County, despite having one of the most competitive school districts in the state, was failing kids from low income families.
