The Boulder Art Association and the Colorado Chautauqua Association present COLORado, the 4th annual juried exhibition at the historic Chautauqua Community House.  Artwork in varied mediums with the general theme of "Colorado" will be chosen by David Dadone, executive director of the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art.

Last year, Boulder City Council members declined to renew a 20-year franchise agreement with Xcel Energy Co. City officials now are collaborating with experts and residents to determine what should replace the old arrangement with Xcel Energy.

United Nations Party and Award to Ellen Marshall

The United Nations Association of Boulder will announce Ellen Marshall as this year's recipient of its International Human Rights Award. Ellen Marshall is a lifelong advocate for the rights of women and girls to improve thier access to health care and education. Her work has had local and international impact on the lives of women, and in particular in the areas of issues related to the pandemic HIV/AIDS. Ms Marshall is a past president and highly regarded member of Zonta Foothills Club who has given the club vision and focus to carry out its mission to advance the status of women and girls locally and internationally.

Social Venture Partners Boulder County (SVP) announces an opening in the Fellows Program for community-minded individuals working and/or living in Boulder County. The intent is to open SVP's doors to people that couldn't otherwise make the required financial commitment to become an SVP partner and who will add value to and gain personal value from the work within SVP. We especially encourage business professionals, entrepreneurs, non-profit professionals, and community leaders to apply.
