The Women's Wilderness Institute is dedicated to strengthening the courage, confidence, and leadership qualities of girls and women, through the challenge and support of wilderness- and community-based experiences.

Science Discovery, established in 1983, is an experienced-based, educational outreach program of the University of Colorado at Boulder. Science Discovery's mission is to stimulate scientific interest, understanding and literacy among Colorado's youth, teachers and families by interfacing with University resources and academic expertise. Science Discovery is dedicated to engaging the whole person in the journey of learning, thereby strengthening individual capacities to participate actively in local and world communities.

Aware of the great excitement in man's classic quest for knowledge, cognizant of the stimulation given this adventure of the mind by new discoveries in a changing world, and convinced that young people must be challenged to accept the responsibility for productive learning that is concomitant with the privilege of education, the Boulder Valley School District provides equality of opportunity for education of the individual to the maximum of his or her academic and creative abilities and in accordance with his or her needs and interests. The District provides instructional programs for kindergarten through 12th grade, with special provisions for handicapped children at all grade levels, and for adult and vocational education.

The Living School: Self-Directed, Democratic Learning The Living School is a learning environment in which each child is free to pursue the creative and academic areas to which the individual child is naturally drawn. The school provides a supportive location for this learning activity as well as a wide variety of mentors and experiential learning situations. As a model of democratic values, the school is run democratically. It is our view that children can become happy adults with the drive for learning, creativity and relationship that is so evident in a young child still intact. It is our assertion that the technical skills, the livelihood of a life best comes from the areas in which a person has inherent interest and that creativity and relationship skills are essential for a fulfilled life.

The I Have a Dream Foundation of Boulder County motivates and empowers children from low-income communities to reach their education and career goals by providing a long-term program of mentoring, tutoring, and enrichment and tuition assistance for higher education.

Growing Gardens' mission is to enrich the lives of Boulder County residents through environmentally sustainable gardening programs that empower people to experience a direct and deep connection with plants, the land and each other. VISION We envision inspired people joining together to actively replenish their environment, their community and themselves. We believe in the power of people to co-create harmony between land, water and all living things for generations to come.

Healing Circles is dedicated to providing a safe and healing environment. It is our mission to empower children, teens and their families to find the capacity and wisdom within themselves to integrate grief into their lives at their own pace.
