Boulder County Ranks #1 for Female Executives

Boulder County has the highest concentration of female top executives among working women, according to a study by Avalanche Consulting in Austin, TX. For every 1,000 female workers in Boulder County, 17.7 qualify as executives. Nationally, that figure drops to eight top executives for every 1,000 female workers.

YRBS Results: Binge Drinking, Bullying and Other Risky Trends

More than one quarter of high school students report being harassed on school property. One quarter report binge drinking in the past 30 days. And one quarter of high school students here are also currently sexually active.

Boulder City Council Candidates Weigh in on Funding for Nonprofits

The City of Boulder distributed over $2.4 million to local human service providers last year. This money comes out of the City’s General Fund – with no earmark for nonprofit organizations. The amount distributed is directed by Council members and the City Manager.
