Boulder County Leadership Fellows 2010-2011: Applications Due July 19, 2010
The Community Foundation will host its second Boulder County Leadership Fellows class. The program’s goal is to build networks of trust between communities and across sectors to meet Boulder County’s changing needs. The program will offer a resource for building networks and relationships while providing an opportunity to engage in thoughtful dialogue about emerging, multicultural, and transformational leadership. Fellows will share their own experience and interact with established community leaders.
Program Impacts Include:
v Building a strong cohort of diverse emerging leaders from across sectors
v Initiating/Creating trusted relationships between emerging and established community leaders who come with a shared agenda of addressing community challenges together
v Providing a resource for idea sharing and problem solving.
This will be an invaluable experience supporting and encouraging transformational leaders to address issues across communities and sectors. This is not a leadership skills building program. It is meant to build networks to support Fellows’ personal and professional progress toward leadership development.
As a Boulder County Leadership Fellow, you must . . .
v Be a Boulder County resident
v Have a desire to make a positive impact
v Be willing to challenge yourself and others
v Commit at least one year of your time and attend regularly scheduled monthly meetings (held the third Monday of each month 9-12.)
v Have a willingness to work collectively and be open to learning
This Boulder County Leadership Fellows Program will consist of fifteen to eighteen Fellows who will meet for twelve monthly dialogue sessions. The ideal applicant will be an alum of an existing leadership development programs and/or an informal leadership network. The selected Fellows Class will be a diverse group of emerging leaders from a cross section of business, government, nonprofit, education, environmental and arts organizations. Established leaders from the same sectors will be engaged to address various community issues about leadership.

v Build a network of colleagues from diverse sectors of Boulder County

Fellows Application Timeline
July 19: Fellowship Applications Due
August 1: Notify Applicants
September 20, 2010: Boulder County Leadership Fellows Program Begins
Set Meeting: 3rd Monday of the month, 9AM-Noon
August 15, 2011: Final Meeting
*Note: Once every quarter, meetings will go from 9AM-1PM with lunch provided for fellows and guests.
