Community Foundation seeking proposals for youth leadership development and host sites for interns
The Community Foundation is accepting applications for Expanding Leadership Initiative funding to support youth leadership development opportuntites and internship host sites.
Deadline for both applications is September 15th.
Youth Leadership Development Grants
The Expanding Leadership Initiative will provide grants to non-profit organizations serving a diverse youth community to support multicultural leadership development opportunities.
Proposed projects should include and address:
- Leadership skill development
- Multicultural/diverse leadership styles
- Community engagement/partnerships
Components of proposed projects are encouraged but not limited to include:
- Scholarships for existing relevant training programs
- Community and/or non-profit collaborations
- Support for expansion of current leadership development
- Extension of existing program
Youth Leadership Development Grants will be awarded by the Expanding Leadership Initiative in partnership with the Anthony H. Kruse Foundation.
Non-profits serving a diverse youth community are encouraged to apply for funding for a project which supports multicultural leadership development opportunities.
Community Impact Internship Program
Community Impact Internship is a program, created by The Community Foundation’s Expanding Leadership Initiative, to match youth from communities traditionally underrepresented in the nonprofit sector (age 16-25) with non-profit organizations. The program will provide an opportunity for current organizations to impart knowledge and experience while receiving help from tomorrow’s leaders. It will also provide a 200 hour non-profit job experience for local youth.
Non-Profits are encouraged to submit an application to be considered as a host organization.
