Grant Funds Available for Local Youth Programs

The city of Boulder Youth Opportunities Program announces the following grant opportunities.  All grant funds are limited to supporting cultural, recreational or educational opportunities for city of Boulder resident middle or high school age youth in the state of Colorado.

ANNUAL GRANTS
The city of Boulder plans to award at least $100,000 in Annual Grants on a competitive basis to youth-serving programs which target young people and, as much as possible, are designed with their input.   Overhead and personnel expenses related to those activities are eligible for funding. 
Both one-year and two-year grants are available. 
Grant proposals may request between $3,000-$15,000 per year. 
Grant proposals are due March 3, 2008.
GROUP ACTIVITIES GRANTS
During the school year grants of up to $3,000 are available for groups of ten or more youth.  Recipients are expected to do volunteer work in exchange for receiving funds. Grant proposals are due the 15th of each month, August - April..
COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANTS
Individual youth or groups of youth may apply for funds to cover the cost of materials for local volunteer service projects.
Grant proposals are due the 15th of each month, August - April.
INDIVIDUAL GRANTS
Individual youth who need funds to pay for an activity they can not otherwise afford may apply for up to $200.  A specific amount of volunteer work is required in exchange for receiving grant funds.  Applications are accepted anytime.
