Local Artists Helps Families

Local artists, Todd Reed and his wife Eva believe in family. They both understand the challenges raising children can present, being the parents of a six-year-old daughter. Yet, somehow they both find the time to balance two busy careers and home life. While Todd’s art often has him traveling throughout the US and abroad, Eva’s work is dedicated to the local community. Even though Todd often deals with customers who rank among the richest in the Nation, he continues to value his home life. His relationship with his wife and daughter are very valuable to him which is why it is such a great balance to be married to a local artist who has a passion for helping adults and children use art as a way to express themselves. While he is on the road conducting business, he finds comfort in having his family firmly rooted here and keeping him connected to the Boulder Community. This is why, on any given Saturday, you can find him ice-skating with his daughter or enjoying a family outing. It is this commitment to parenthood that has lead both Todd and Eva to Parenting Place’s door. Parenting Place is one of Boulder’s great non-profit organizations. They focus on helping parents who need support. This is a broad topic for them and the clients they serve range from middle class first time Mom’s to lower income families.

Both Todd and Eva have known about the Parenting Place for quite some time and they have helped them raise funds for their much-needed services in the past. He was reintroduced to them when a colleague asked him to donate a piece of his exquisite jewelry to the silent auction that will be held during “A Night In Motown”. He readily agreed and has donated three pieces for the event. He became so excited about opportunity, his wife Eva decided to join him in his enthusiasm by donating a series of art classes for a child. Now is the time to help support local families with all the pressure to raise healthy kids and it is heartwarming to see two of Boulder’s local artists stepping up to do just that - help.

This event will truly have a huge turnout due to the donations being made this year, so don’t hesitate – call Parenting Place to reserve your spot today. Break out your best era costume, gather your friends and join Parenting Place for A Night in Motown, Saturday, April 26th, 2008.
