SVP Announces Opening in Argosy Fellows Program
Submitted by jennie on Mon, 06/09/2008 - 15:18.
Social Venture Partners Boulder County (SVP) announces an opening in its Fellowship Program, sponsored by the Argosy Foundation, for community-minded individuals working and/or living in Boulder County. The intent is to open SVP's doors to people that couldn't otherwise make the required financial commitment and who will add value to and gain personal value from the work within SVP.
SVP is a local philanthropic group committed to building the capacity of nonprofit organizations and to serving as a catalyst for individual, engaged philanthropy. It is a growing network of 40 philanthropists (called partners), each contributing $5,000 annually, that are directly engaged in grant making, strategic volunteering, and philanthropic education.
One new Fellowship will be awarded in August 2008, and we encourage people of all backgrounds, races, and classes to apply.
Argosy Fellows participate fully and are involved in SVP just like any other partner. Participation in SVP includes involvement in a grant committee, participating as a volunteer, and attending partner meetings. We expect a minimum contribution of five hours of volunteer time per month.
For more information about required qualifications and complete details about the application process, please visit our website at www.svpbouldercounty.org.
The deadline for applications is Friday, July 11, 2008, at 12:00 p.m. Please direct any questions not answered on the website to Jennie Arbogash at jennie@svpbouldercounty.org or via phone at 303.442.0436 x114.
