Wednesday, September 10, 2008 Join this presentation/discussion led by SPAN Immigrant Services Outreach Committee that will look at the current immigration debate and its effect on immigrant clients and their experiences of violence-both by an abusive partner and an anti-immigrant system. We will look at recent legislation and the impact it has had on immigrant clients seeking protection, and the ways in which SPAN continues to seek justice for all victims of domestic violence regardless of immigration status.

The Boulder County Housing Authority’s Housing Counseling Program offers a free Financial Fitness course. This 4 level course will help you improve your relationship with money. The curriculum includes: spending plans, banking and savings, credit, and loans, taxes and insurance. Registration is required, and can be done on our website or over the phone. Childcare and interpretation services will be provided upon request. A light dinner is also provided. Please arrive early as late arrivals maybe asked to return to future sessions.
