Join The Community Foundation in collaboration with the Human Services Strategic Plan for its systems transformation training series. This five-part series will focus on Program Design and Evaluation with an emphasis on practical application. Trainings will be three hours in length, including interactive exercises, case studies, and time for questions and discussion. Technical assistance will be available through a Wiki site as well as webinars on specific content and one-on-one consultation following each training session.

Program managers are encouraged to attend, with a limit of two people from each organization. The cost of attendance is $25 per person per session, all of which will be refunded if you attend all 5 trainings.

Topic 1: Introduction to Evaluation and Creating a Logic Model (Held May 18/May 19)
This training and workshop will focus on the purposes and uses of evaluation as well as evaluation types and design, such as the differences between a formative, a process, and an outcome evaluation. Concepts of cause and effect, theories of change, and the relationships between program design and desired outcomes will be explored. The logic model used by Foothills United Way, Boulder County, the City of Longmont, and other funders will be used as a model and participants will work in small groups to create or refine a program logic model.
