About the Event:
Join YWCA for a three part starter discussion and dialogue series of Roots and Race. This is an opportunity for open, honest and meaningful dialogue in our community. Come and talk with others about the impact on each of us and how to shape who we are today. All discussions are on Thursday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Dinner is provided. Please plan to attend all three sessions. April 10: Racial and Ethnic Roots, April 17: A Multiracial Society, April 24 Making a Difference. Need childcare? She serves on the board for the YWCA, the Community Action Program, and the Boulder County Latina Women's League. Dorothy is passonate about educating herself and others on diversity issues. Eleanor Hubbard is president of DiversityWorks, a training and consulting firm specializing in workplace diversity. Her emphasis is on whiteness as a racial category and the inclusion of everyone in the diversity circle. Cost: $30 and scholarships are available. Space is limited- call or email today to register!
