Explorations. A Celebrationof Latin American Music. Embark on a journey of Latin Discovery as Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra, the Ars Nova Singers, and guest soloists present the Colorado premiere of Oceana by Argentine composer Osvaldo Golijov. A mesmerizing cantata weaving orchestra, voices, guitars, exotic percussion, and the evocative poetry of Pablo Neruda. Oceana is a sensual work that dazzles and enchants. Presented with rarely-performed works by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Miguel Matamoros, Radames Gnattali, and Luis Jorge Gonzalez. Featuring special guests: Maya Hoover, mezzo-soprano, and Jonathan Leathwood, guitar.
