What You Need to Know to Manage a Nonprofit. Learn how to grow your idea into an organization that has a powerful impact in your community. Successfully managing a nonprofit organization requires more than passion and hard work. Become familiar with the recently released Colorado Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence and how they relate to your organization. This is an introductory course designed to give a broad overview of the main aspects of managing your own nonprofit. Areas introduced in this training include: Colorado Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence, how a nonprofit business differs from a for-profit, Federal and state regulations regarding nonprofits, financial and legal responsibilites, nonprofit board governance, and other nonprofit best practices.
