"Prayers for Bobby"

Produced for screening on Lifetime, and based on the 1995 Leroy Adams book
of the same name, the film portrays the life of Mary Griffith (portrayed
by Sigourney Weaver), who became a gay rights activist following the
tragic suicide of her son. A conservative Christian, Griffith's rejection
of her son because of his sexual orientation led to his deepening
depression and eventual suicide. Ron Aarons, Leroy Aarons' brother, will
be present at the screening to discuss his brother's book, the film, and
to answer questions.
