One of The Community Foundation's primary roles is to make
grants to nonprofits, and
we also have a number of granting programs. Like all funding
agencies, we receive significantly more requests for money
than we can fund. In order to assist as many groups as possible,
we offer a variety of programs to help strengthen the internal
capacity of local nonprofits.
These include: Community
Ventures and the W.I.N. (What Interests
Nonprofits) brown bag lunches.
In addition, The Community Foundation is committed
to promoting a culture of giving in Boulder County. This includes
the website: www.CultureofGiving.org.
This site was designed to encourage philanthropy and volunteerism.
There is a searchable nonprofit database on the site. We encourage
you to log
on and register your nonprofit to ensure that you are
able to benefit from the increased visibility of the site. This
is a free service for nonprofits provided by The Community
Foundation.
Another program for nonprofits is the NOVA
Awards.
