the endless details of event planning to focus in on the
core pillars of success. Kim will give strategic points
to measure a potential event against, as well as guidelines
to efficiently map out a fundraising phenomenon.

of the your mission, as experienced nonprofit leaders

Donors and funders are increasingly demanding results
for their dollars. Evaluation is one approach to obtaining
important information that helps to document program accomplishments
and demonstrate program effectiveness. This presentation
will help participants understand key evaluation concepts
and the ways in which program evaluation can improve future
planning.

Dr. Maria Guajardo Lucero, Director of the Office
for Education and Children, City of Denver
Maria Guajardo Lucero has worked with education and children
from almost every angle: in Denver Public Schools, Denver
universities, Colorado state government, and the non-profit
community. She brings her experience and expertise as
an educator, a licensed clinical psychologist, a manager
and advocate to bear as the new Director of Denver’s
Office for Education and Children.

see it as a solution to their problem. All over Boulder,
we have bumper stickers saying, "What if war were
not an option?" Well, what if cutting programs were
not an option? How would you run an organization that
saw fundraising as the solution?
