About the Open Door Fund

The Open Door Fund was created as a permanent endowment by The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County in 1996:

~ To address problems and needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) persons in Boulder County;
~ To build LGBT community;
~ To foster collaboration and promote constructive dialogue between gay and non-gay people; and
~ To provide a permanent source of support for organizations serving the LGBT community.

The Open Door Advisory Committee

The Open Door Advisory Committee raises funds by hosting an annual dinner and soliciting donations to Open Door to make grants to Boulder County non-profits serving the LGBT population and to build endowment for the future.
