The mission of Aging Services Foundation of Boulder County is to secure the future for those who create it. The goals of the Aging Services Foundation are to provide funding for services that enhance the quality of life of older adults and their families; to support partnerships that enhance the image and involvement of older people; and to foster understanding about aging issues through a variety of media. ODF funding will support events for older LGBT county residents. |

Bias
Incident Hotline
www.biasincidenthotline.org The Bias Incident Hotline Project is a grassroots community project dedicated to assisting those who have perienced or witnessed bias motivated incidents or crimes. The Hotline provides support, resources, and advocacy to community members who have experienced or witnessed such incidents. It also provides education and influences policy change by promoting awareness to the larger community about the levels and effects that bias and oppression have on individuals, communities and systems. The Hotline Project ultimately strives to reduce systemic oppression and bias in the community. ODF funding is for general support of the hotline. |

Boulder
County AIDS Project

The mission of the Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP) is twofold: to provide support, advocacy, and education to those in the community who are infected with or affected by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and to serve as an outreach and information center to prevent further transmission of HIV and the resulting Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). ODF funding supports BCAP’s ATLAS -- HIV prevention program. |

www.boulderpride.org Boulder PRIDE’s mission is to foster safe environments for the LGBT community for gathering, support, self-expression, and the exchange of ideas; to advocate for social justice; to build collaborative relationships within the community at large;to celebrate the uniqueness, diversity, and contributions of the LGBT community; to provide direct services for both youth and adults; and to educate the public and the LGBTQ community about the issues and concerns affecting our lives. ODF funding supports Boulder PRIDE’s SpeakingOUT New Speaker Training and Community Education Series. |

The mission of Evolving Doors Dance Project is to present politically motivated, professional modern dance in Boulder, using dance as a medium to bring social awareness to the community. The company presents dance woven with political impressions, born of feminist ideas, and filled with unmistakably universal human connections that cross lines of sex and gender. From intimate duets to group dances, performances promise to evoke, engage, and evolve. ODF funding supports Shaping the Now, an evening-length performance of new choreography based on interviews with individuals in the LGBT community. |

The mission of the Medicine Horse Program is to transform the mental health and life skills of adolescents, adults and families. Through interaction with horses, participants experience psychological, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. The mission of Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA) states “We are moving to end sexual assault and the suffering it causes in our community. We believe every woman, man and child has the right to live free of sexual assault. We challenge all forms of oppression and recognize their connection to sexual violence.” ODF funding supports training regarding LGBT issues to MESA staff, hotline volunteers, and hotline volunteers in training. |

ODF funding supports the Naropa Community Art Studio after-school studio art program for LGBT teens and young adults. |

ODF funding supports Coming Out Faithful, which provides a safe space for CU-Boulder students to explore their coming out process in light of their religious tradition. |

ODF funding supports SHAPE (Sexual Health and AIDS Awareness Peer Education), a collaboration with Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP), designed to reduce young people’s risk of contracting HIV, other sexually transmitted infections and/or experiencing unintended pregnancies.
