Volunteering brings many people great joy, sense of contribution and sense of community. Participating in activities is leading by example. 

Many of us recruit volunteers and become evangelists for a cause.  That’s leading by influencing.  Wildlands Restoration Volunteers has an incredible series of training sessions, recruitment plans and I am able to train others to lead volunteer projects.  That’s leading by design.  One can do a little, many can do a lot. My greatest person joy is helping others take on the responsibility for leadership in managing environmental restoration projects.  It’s a cornerstone of WRV’s mission and my personal volunteer goal.
