My own life has been enriched by the arts, from the music in my family to my career at the University. Since retirement, volunteering first in the arts with The Longmont Council for the Arts and the Longmont Symphony Orchestra, and then following other social concerns have helped me to discover and know a whole new community.

Especially satisfying has been my lifelong learning. And my own knowledge and appreciation have been expanded in working with projects in the visual arts. Any satisfaction, joy and knowledge this has given to others has been returned many times over. Altogether, the arts and education make for a rich life!
