Statement of Purpose/Activities:

The Reading to End Racism (RER) project provides the entire student body of middle and elementary schools with engaging and age-appropriate forums in which to explain and explore racism. Through interactive presentations led by trained community volunteer “Readers,” students have an opportunity to 1) listen to literature, personal stories and insights regarding racism 2) participate in discussions about racism 3) gain reinforcement about the power of literature. Students are encouraged to express their own ideas on how to help eliminate racism.

Meeting Dates/Times: Varies
