Gerry Agnes

In addition to working with the Board of Directors in matters of strategy, governance and policy, Mr. Agnes leads a senior leadership team in developing and executing on the credit union’s vision and strategies.  With a personal commitment to the financial strength of Elevations Credit Union and a “no compromises” approach to the safety and security of member deposits, transactions and personal information, he inspires the organization to continue as the Best Financial Institution that benefits its members, employees, members and the communities we serve. 

Mr. Agnes is a CPA and has 27 years of professional experience in the financial services industry.  Prior to becoming CEO of Elevations Credit Union, Mr. Agnes was President/Chief Operating Officer of Altura Credit Union.  Prior to Altura, Mr. Agnes was the President/CEO of The Community Foundation serving Riverside & San Bernardino Counties; CFO of California Financial Bancorp; and Executive Vice President of HF Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiary, Hemet Federal Savings and Loan Association.  Mr. Agnes began his career as a CPA with Touche Ross & Co., a “big eight” accounting firm.

Mr. Agnes has served on numerous Boards of professional and community-based organizations.  Presently, he serves on the Board of Managers of CU Service Network, LLC, which is a technology company that enables credit unions to share their branch services with other credit unions in seven states surrounding Colorado.  He is also a board member with The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, the Boulder Chamber of Commerce, and is the Chair of the Boulder Economic Council.
