Mr. Hernandez is currently working part-time for the Colorado Division of Insurance SHIP program, as a Medicare Ombudsman. He retired in 2003 from his position as a Human Resource Manager from the Colorado Department of Corrections. He has been involved with community organization most of his adult life and is currently a Board member of The Community Foundation. Mr. Hernandez is also the Vice Chairman of the Immigration Legal Rights Center for Boulder County and serves as Chair for a Latino advisory committee to AARP of Colorado and on the AARP of Colorado Executive Committee.
