Rhonda Wallen
Ms. Wallen currently leads strategic marketing and special projects at Biodesix, a molecular diagnostics company developing products for personalized medicine. In previous roles, she served as President of Caveo Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on the development of new therapies for cancers and blood disorders. She has also served as interim management for senior level business development and marketing functions, typically working with life science CEOs and founders to set the strategic direction of start-up companies, complete the business plan, and position the companies for financing. Ms. Wallen was formerly an investment professional with Sequel Venture Partners and has 20 years of venture investing and early stage, as well as corporate operating experience. Prior to entering venture capital, Ms. Wallen held management roles in bio/pharmaceutical (Bayer) and medical device (Guidant, now Boston Scientific) companies where she managed product planning and corporate development functions, including the negotiation of numerous licensing and strategic transactions. Ms. Wallen holds an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, and graduate degrees in molecular biology and business from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and Simon School of Business, respectively.
