Overview and Funding Priorities
Community Foundation Boulder County announces the first open funding opportunity from the Boulder County Wildfire Fund. At this time, $100,000 will be made available for commemorative events that support Marshall Fire survivors. We believe community healing involves people connecting, remembering, reflecting, and taking care of one another.

The maximum grant amount available will be $10,000. Grants will be processed on a rolling basis. This RFP will remain open until funds are expended. Applications must be received via our online grant portal, and applications can be found at:- Have individual and/or community healing as the primary purpose of proposed activities.
- Be planned and implemented with a trauma-informed lens.
- Expect at least 20 unrelated people to attend or benefit from proposed activities.
- Not have a particular religious, political or policy agenda or message.
- If hosted by a congregation, will be nonsectarian or interfaith, and designed to attract community members beyond the host congregation.
- Be free of charge and open to the public.
- Follow all local laws and obtain required permits.
This RFP is NOT intended to support:
- Routine and ongoing programs of nonprofits.
- Overhead or profits, only direct expenditures are eligible grant costs.
Eligibility
- Any nonprofit organization with an IRS 501(c)(3) designation or any governmental or public entity can apply. Groups or organizations that do not have IRS 501(c)(3) designation may do so with a fiscal sponsor.
- Grantees must use grant funds only for the stated purpose of the grant or for charitable and educational activities consistent with the organization’s tax-exempt status.
- Grants from the Community Foundation Boulder County are exclusively for activities or projects in Boulder County and for the benefit of Boulder County residents.
