BRAVO Fund announces 2019 Request for Proposals

The Community Foundation's BRAVO Fund seeks to improve the quality of life for Latino communities throughout Boulder County. Specifically, the fund encourages interested individuals to pool their charitable dollars for grantmaking to Latino communities, thereby promoting social justice, strengthening opportunities for leadership, and empowering Latinos to give in order to benefit their own communities.
Due Nov. 12 by 5 p.m., on behalf of the BRAVO Fund Advisory Committee, your Community Foundation is accepting Requests for Proposals. We'd like to hear from you about ideas to strengthen, build the resilience of, and empower our Latino communities. As such, we're providing grants of up to $1K in the following areas:
  • Cultural Brokers – projects that elevate and strengthen local cultural brokers
  • Leaders’ Resilience – projects that nurture the resilience for Latino leaders
  • Civic & Nonpartisan Political Engagement – projects that promotes the involvement and integration of Latino voices and leadership in Boulder County civic life

We encourage and welcome grassroots efforts and creative thinking.

The foundation and the Committee are particularly interested in, and will give priority to, projects initiated by Latinos to benefit Latinos. The Committee is also interested in projects from local community groups that may not have a nonprofit IRS designation such as a 501(c)(3), and will arrange for fiscal sponsorship, if necessary.
