Boulder County (October 12, 2010) – Saturday’s Fourmile Canyon Revival, produced by KBCO and AEG, raised $360,000 for the Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund at The Community Foundation. Thanks to the concert’s proceeds and donations to the fund from individuals, foundations, and businesses the fund now exceeds $663,000, and contributions continue to come.
The Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund supports the local volunteer fire departments who courageously fought this fire and the mountain residents whose lives were directly impacted by this disaster and are in critical need of financial support.
An initial commitment of $100,000 from the fund was presented to Boulder area mountain fire departments at the Fourmile Canyon Revival. Individuals and non-profits organizations in need of financial support can apply for assistance by visiting www.commfound.org and downloading an application. Applications are due before 5pm on Monday, October 25, 2010, and grant decisions will be made before Thanksgiving 2010.
