Root Causes is an opportunity for Boulder County nonprofits to increase their advocacy skills and capacity, share best practices and learnings with others, and participate in coordinated activities on economic issues that directly affect their organizations. With poverty and income gaps on the rise in our state and pressing budget decisions, the voices of low-income communities in these debates has never been more important. Nonprofits have a role and responsibility to engage in conversations with policymakers about emerging areas of need and opportunity.
