Continuing his lengthy service to the region’s community, retired Sen. Mark Udall donated $5,000 to The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County.
Udall served as U.S. Senator from Colorado from Jan. 3, 2009 to Jan. 3, 2015. He was previously the U.S. House Representative for Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes Boulder County. Before serving in the U.S. Congress, he was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives.
Sen. Udall said that as he and his wife, Maggie Fox, closed out his political organization this year, they wanted to make a gift to this community’s worthy nonprofits.
The generous donation has been placed in The Community Trust. The trust is a community-driven grant making division of The Community Foundation. County residents volunteer to serve on committees to review proposals and grant funds to address a vast array of community needs, from health and human services to the arts and civic life.
The Community Foundation thanks Sen. Mark Udall for his generosity, as well as for his years of dedicated and distinguished service to our community.
