The Family Learning Center’s Pen Tate Awards will happen on September 20: FLC recognizes these are extremely difficult times. The Family Learning Center lost the use of 3000 square feet of program space due the extreme flooding. So they definitely, feel the pain of so many Coloradans.
A note from Executive Director Brenda Lyle: “What we realize, is life must go on, we still have children and families who need our services and we are working very hard to clean-up damage so we can re-open as soon as possible. Our event will help raise the money we need to re-open and to continue to meet the needs of children and families. It will honor the humanitarian efforts of State Senator Rollie Heath and the late Penfield Tate. It will also pay tribute to the all those who lost much and the tremendous spirit community. We know that working together we will overwhelm the adversity of all the flooding and as a community we will rise above it all, much stronger! If you could please confirm that your quests are still attending it would be much appreciated.”
