While the buildings may have survived, Cal-Wood’s pristine ponderosa pine forests – which serve as an outdoor classroom – were badly damaged in the recent fires, requiring extensive repair and restoration. But Rafael Salgado is optimistic.
We’re pleased to share these inspiring updates from our county’s humane societies – both of which took in pets for short-term shelter during the recent fires – demonstrating how our community comes together in times of crises.
