According to Nicole Cavalino, Director of Nederland Area Seniors, Inc., funding from your Community Foundation has enabled the senior-focused nonprofit to serve some 500 meals per month to more than 100 individual older adults who have chosen to stay home and stay safe during the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Funds from the Community Foundation have helped us to provide rent and mortgage assistance to more people. Specifically, we’ve been able to offer additional financial assistance to those who are not able to access stimulus funds.”
“The grant from the Community Foundation enabled Via to continue to provide essential rides for people with dialysis and chemotherapy needs, and we have been delivering busloads of groceries to senior facilities and individuals.”
Community Foundation Boulder County is seeking proposals from nonprofits in Boulder County that are providing essential services to Boulder County residents who are vulnerable members of the community and experiencing added hardships due to COVID-19; and/or, responding to increased demands for services from vulnerable populations, while facing their own financial challenges.
