Leadership Fellows

Jose Beteta was already an experienced leader when he participated in the Boulder County Leadership Fellows program, an initiative of The Community Foundation and the Boulder Chamber.

For Boulder natives David and Carly Brantz, joining The Community Foundation’s Legacy Society was a natural fit.

“Growing up here, both of us have long enjoyed and benefitted from all the things that make this community special,” says David, a partner with Kottke & Brantz, LLC where he focuses on estate planning, probate, real estate and business law. “Given what I do for a living, I’m very familiar with the various ways in which to join the Legacy Society – from making a bequest to The Community Foundation in your will to making the foundation a beneficiary of a retirement plan or a charitable remainder trust…to name just a few.

“Dealing with these concepts every day, I know how important it is to make your future wishes known. For us, we simply named The Community Foundation as a beneficiary in our will.”

At today’s annual membership meeting of the Boulder Chamber, we’re thrilled that two of our community partners will be honored, along with our own Elvira Ramos. Elvira will receive a Champion Award for her dedication to the success of the Boulder County Leadership Fellows Program, a partnership between the Boulder Chamber and The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County.

The Boulder Chamber will honor area leaders at its Celebration of Leadership on April 2. The event will be held at the future home of the Museum of Boulder.

The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County is honored to have its Leadership Fellows program as part of the Chamber's signature celebration.

Elvira Ramos, Program Director for The Community Foundation Serving of Boulder County, and Barbara Truan, president of Renaissance Management, a leadership strategies company, are among those being honored this year. They earned recognition for their stewardship of the Boulder County Leadership Fellows Program. Leadership Fellows is a partnership between the Boulder Chamber and The Community Foundation.

It helps nurture the leaders of the future, and works toward cultivating more diverse leadership in all areas of Boulder's cultural and civic life.

The Leadership Fellows application deadline has been extended! Applications are due by noon on Friday, March 6, 2015. For more information or to apply, go to
