Your input desperately needed on BVSD Goals

What’s wrong with this picture?

Number of people who have visited www.bvsdlistens.com and issued opinions on:

* The new school calendar … 3,358

* School lunches … 624

* The Goals that our locally-elected leaders will use to inform priorities within their $250 million annual budget for the next 3-5 years … 65

This last one is the most important! Make your voice heard!

The final BVSD community meeting on the new district goals that will guide priorities for next 3-5 years is Monday morning (March 11) in Lafayette, from 10:30 to noon at Lafayette Public Library, 775 W. Baseline Road, Lafayette.

The draft Vision, Mission and Goals can be found here: http://bvsd.org/goals/Pages/default.aspx

It’s really important that the district hear from as many people as possible about what the priorities should be.

The Community Foundation supports all goals that focus particular attention on our youngest learners, promote community involvement, and ensure that characteristics such as race and poverty are not barriers to student success.

So what are you waiting for? Go to Lafayette on Monday morning, or visit www.bvsdlistens.com and weigh in! The online opportunity closes March 17.
