New in 2023
In alignment with trust-based philanthropic practices, grant applications and reporting processes have been simplified. Progress reports will no longer be needed as part of grant applications. Future reporting will be more flexible. We will continue to work closely with community members and nonprofit organizations to improve and evolve the grant process.

Additionally, the Community Foundation offers a number of
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), each with its own grantmaking capacity and process. Many function in the same way a family foundation would, with the Community Foundation serving as support staff. DAFs make grants locally, nationally or internationally – fundholders learn about local grantmaking opportunities by working with foundation staff who make recommendations from submitted proposals.
