The Millennium Trust was created in 1999 to support the community’s needs during the new millennium and has traditionally supported an annual focus. Since 2000, more than $1M in grants has been distributed countywide. Current Millennium Trust grantees were selected based on their relevancy to the foundation’s Statement of Affirmation—drafted to affirm the foundation’s position during these especially challenging socio-political times.

Arts and Culture organizations that received grants from the Community Foundation's Community Trust in 2020 were awarded unsolicited, additional grants of $1,650 each from the Millennium Trust. The foundation sent these grants to 22 organizations in recognition of the extraordinary impact of COVID-19 on their bottom lines.
