Millennium Trust: Funding Focus and Guidelines for 2016

Millennium Trust - A Fund of The Community Foundation

Request for Letters of Intent

Letters of Intent are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6th.

The Millennium Trust was established as a permanent fund of The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County to serve the needs of Boulder County residents into the future. It was created by donations from thousands of Boulder County residents who each gave their last hour of income in 1999 to help meet the needs of Boulder County in the new millennium. Since its inception, the Millennium Trust has awarded more than one million dollars in grants to the community.

Each year, Millennium Trust donors are selected at random to serve on the advisory committee. This group determines the Millennium Trust funding priorities for the year and makes grant recommendations to The Community Foundation Board of Trustees.

Funding Focus for 2016

The Millennium Trust Advisory Committee is seeking Letters of Intent for projects that invest in Boulder County's future. Projects should be novel, collaborative, create awareness, and leverage our community's assets. The Committee is especially interested in projects that support at-risk youth and those that address economic disparities in our community including areas of affordable housing, health and mental health, and education. Proposed projects may be county-wide in scope, or be focused on a much smaller community. Be bold. Be innovative.

Funding Range

The Millennium Trust will award $75,000 in grants in 2016. Grant requests will be considered within the $25,000 to $75,000 range.

Deadline: Letters of Intent are due by 5 p.m., Wed. April 6th.

Letters of Intent must be submitted using our online grant application.

We encourage all new applicants to watch this online training video to facilitate the registration process.
