Guests included Kati Maharry, parent of an Emerald Elementary first-grader; Brenda Lyle of the Family Learning Center; and Marina Orozco-Ngu, a second-grade teacher at University Hill Elementary. Host Jim Williams, a trustee of your Community Foundation, is joined by Allison Billings, Executive Director, Impact on Education; Debbie Pope, CEO, YWCA Boulder County; and Joshua Silberstein, CEO, Social Venture Partners (SVP) Boulder County. We discuss the impact of an SVP initiative – with support from a Donor-Advised Fund established at the Community Foundation by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation – on these and other local nonprofits as they respond to immediate needs, while preparing to emerge stronger and thriving after the pandemic.

Today we debuted their first-person accounts in a new feature we are calling TRENDS Diary.
