15 Forever was established by Community Foundation Boulder County in 2006 to promote civic engagement, philanthropy, and leadership among Boulder County youth.

Leadership Fellows Boulder County program is a collaborative initiative between Community Foundation Boulder County and the Boulder Chamber.

The BRAVO Fund aims to improve the quality of life for Latino communities throughout Boulder County.

The Open Door Fund supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning (LGBTQ+) individuals and allies in Boulder County.

The Veterans Fund supports our community by raising money and distributing grants for programs that enhance the lives of its Veterans and their families.

In the spring of 2025, Community Foundation Boulder County asked local nonprofits a simple but important question: “How prepared are you to face what’s next?” Their responses painted a clear picture.

Founded in 2008, the One Lafayette Fund was created by the City of Lafayette to support organizations providing important services to the people of Lafayette.

The BIPOC Women’s Fund was created in 2022 by a small group of local women with a clear vision: to support and uplift BIPOC women and children in Boulder County.

The Environmental Affinity Group (EAG) convenes and inspires Boulder County citizens to address global warming and the climate crisis.

The purpose of the Women's Philanthropy Group (WPG) is to provide world-class programming to support members' philanthropic journeys, to deepen members' understanding of local issues, and to help the mission of Community Foundation Boulder County as a philanthropic convener.

The Josie Heath Nonprofit Leadership Award honors Josie Heath's extraordinary dedication and leadership in strengthening the nonprofit community in Boulder County.

Community Foundation Boulder County established the Nino Gallo Leadership Award to recognize outstanding local leaders who embody the characteristics of our friend, Nino Gallo.

Affectionately known as the “Pat-on-the-Back Award,” this annual honor celebrates the legacy of Patricia Ford Shoemaker (July 4, 1920 – October 18, 1998) and recognizes individuals who have given extraordinary, yet often unsung, volunteer time to care for our community.

Since 1998, the Stan Black Award has been given annually to a person who, like Hutchinson Black and Cook’s late partner, Stan Black, has shown a lifetime commitment by offering their time, treasure, and talent in serving charitable organizations within Boulder County and around the world.

The School Readiness Initiative was created to work towards closing the achievement gap in children ages 0–5 by funding school readiness work benefitting low-income families in Boulder County.

This program reflects a long-standing belief in Colorado's business community that entrepreneurial success and community well-being are interconnected.

The Millennium Trust was created in 1999 to support the community’s needs during the new millennium and has traditionally supported an annual focus.

On December 30, 2021, the Marshall Fire damaged or destroyed over 1,000 homes in southeastern Boulder County, making it the most destructive wildfire in Colorado state history.

On March 22, 2021, a mass shooting took place at the King Soopers supermarket on Table Mesa Drive in Boulder, Colorado.
