Maximize your partnership with the community foundation
In some instances, Advisors can retain their clients’ charitable assets at their financial institution and continue to manage clients’ charitable giving vehicles (funds created at $500K or more); convert non-managed client assets into charitable dollars that you manage; and offer clients a value-add by connecting them to Community Foundation Boulder County’s professional, personalized philanthropic services.
What’s more, we’re an IRS tax-exempt nonprofit organization; your clients will receive the maximum tax deduction allowed.

In my work as an estate planning attorney, I am often asked about local charitable giving opportunities and resources. What is a "Professional Advisor?"
“Professional Advisor” is a term we use to describe wealth managers, financial advisors, accountants, attorneys, and others who work with charitable clients.
How do donor-advised funds Work
A donor-advised fund is a fund from which your client can make charitable grants to tax-exempt organizations doing charitable work. Donors make a gift to establish the fund, using assets including cash, stock, or other assets — and receive an immediate tax deduction. Those charitable dollars are grown through investing. Donors may choose one of the community foundation’s investment pools, or dollars may be invested through the donor’s own financial advisor (minimum fund of $500K). Once the fund is established, donors can recommend grants to their favorite nonprofit groups around Boulder County and beyond.
How does my client benefit from working with CFBC?
