The Community Trust is the permanent grantmaking fund of your Community Foundation Boulder County, addressing broad needs, countywide. The Community Trust grantmaking process runs in two cycles (see below), and the next deadline is July 17, 2020.

For 2020, to center equity more transparently in our grantmaking and to respond to impacts of COVID-19, there will be some necessary changes to the Community Trust process:
  1. While the grant review process will still rely on volunteers, it will be more streamlined and totally virtual.
  2. In the past, we had one combined category called “animals and environment.” Now, these will be two separate categories.
  3. Each grant category will have unique funding priorities tailored to promote equity and address the impacts of COVID-19.
  4. The foundation previously requested diversity charts with each application. Our use of these charts is under review. In the interim, applicants will still be required to provide information about diversity in your organizations, but you will have a choice between filling out and uploading a diversity chart as you have in the past, or answering two quantitative questions. You only need to do one of the two, but applications must include one or the other to be considered.
