Help Community Foundation Boulder County give grants to local nonprofits

Community wisdom, lived experience, diverse experience, knowledge, and input are essential to the success of our Community Trust. We need you to help us by volunteering to be a grant reviewer!

Every year, your Community Foundation helps meet community needs by providing grants to nonprofits in the county from a fund called Community Trust.

The Community Trust, a permanent grantmaking fund of the foundation, addresses broad needs throughout Boulder County through an equity lens. Community wisdom, lived experience, diverse experience, knowledge, and input are essential to the success of our Community Trust. Grant decisions are made in a process that is facilitated by Community Foundation staff, advised by Boulder County volunteer reviewers, and approved by the Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

We need you to help us by volunteering to be a grant reviewer!

Joining an advisory committee is a short-term volunteer opportunity, and this year the grant review process will be streamlined and totally virtual. The time commitment includes 3-6 hours’ reviewing proposals online, email communication with your Community Trust committee and, if needed, one virtual (1.5 hours) committee meeting. You can choose to help review for any of the following categories: CT1: Animal Care and Welfare, Environment, Education, Arts & Culture or CT2: Civic Engagement, Health and Human Services.

The dates for review and meetings for each are listed below. To provide a fair and thorough review for the nonprofits that have applied, we ask that you commit to reviewing proposals and attending the one virtual meeting (if needed).
