Krishna Pattisapu, PhD

Dr. Krishna Pattisapu is a higher education leader, scholar, consultant, and champion for equity and inclusion. In the past two decades, they have taught courses in Communication Studies at two and four-year colleges and designed programs to recruit and retain students of color and first-generation students. Their original research explores the intersections of identity, culture, and communication in educational contexts. Krishna is a servant leader who is committed to transforming higher education to increase access for students from underserved communities and to support the humans who lead the work. Their experience growing up as a queer, biracial, first-generation college student in rural Southern Illinois guides their work. Krishna holds a Ph.D. in Culture and Communication from the University of Denver and a B.S. and M.S. in Communication Studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Krishna lives in Longmont with their partner and pets.
