About the BIPOC Women's Fund
The BIPOC Women’s Fund was created in 2022 by a small group of local women with a clear vision: to support and uplift BIPOC women and children in Boulder County. From the beginning, the Fund sought not only to address disparities, but also to celebrate the resilience, leadership, and creativity that BIPOC women bring to our community. But as the Fund grew, so did the desire for something deeper: connection, shared leadership, and long-term sustainability.
In late 2025, the BIPOC Women’s Fund formally transitioned to a Giving Circle – a model rooted in collectivism, community wisdom, and shared decision-making. Members pool resources (minimum of $100 per year) for greater collective impact and participate directly in the grant making process. Today, the BIPOC Women’s Fund includes 40 members, 8 steering committee members, and a commitment to year-round engagement.
