One hundred twenty-five community partners receive grants to address Boulder County’s most pressing needs.

BOULDER, Colo., Aug. 17, 2026 – Community Foundation Boulder County today announced the 125 community partners selected as 2026 Community Trust grant recipients. This year’s grantees, whose applications were reviewed and recommended by community volunteers, will receive a combined total of $574,750 to help address Boulder County’s most pressing needs.
“The work of Community Trust has always been important, but as local organizations navigate a fast-changing landscape and increasing financial uncertainty, every dollar counts,” says Sarah Harrison, vice president of programs at Community Foundation Boulder County. “In the spring of 2025 and 2026, the community foundation surveyed our local nonprofits to see how funding and policy shifts were impacting their work. The data confirmed that our local organizations were being asked to meet growing community needs with fewer resources.”
In response to survey data, the foundation shaped a coordinated response, including the launch of the Resilience Fund in 2025 and the creation of the All In, Boulder County campaign in 2026, a community-wide fundraising effort to quickly raise and distribute more money to local community-driven organizations through Community Trust.
“Community Trust is the foundation’s largest, most comprehensive grantmaking program, and the grant decisions are led by volunteers,” says community foundation CEO Tatiana Hernandez. Each year, 90+ community volunteers come together to read and discuss grant applications and ultimately make recommendations on where Community Trust dollars should go. “It’s an engaging and thoughtful process that these volunteers commit to,” says Hernandez, highlighting that not every community member has the time to vet hundreds of organizations vying for their donations. “By raising funds through All In, Boulder County to amplify Community Trust grantmaking, we’re creating an opportunity for community members to easily invest in trusted organizations that care for our neighbors, every day.”
Thanks to community members who donated to All In, Boulder County, as well as others who made meaningful contributions outside of the campaign, the community foundation was able to increase Community Trust grantmaking. These extra funds allowed volunteer reviewers to increase both the number of grant applications funded and the average grant size in 2026. Community Trust grants are distributed across six areas:

• Health and human services.
