The timeline for the second half of Community Trust (Community Trust 2) is as follows:
Opened 8/18/22 at 9 am
Closes 9/19/22 at 5 pm
We are looking for proposals in: Health & Human Services and Civic Engagement
We intend to notify Community Trust 1 grantees in late September if they were awarded a grant for 2022 and Community Trust 2 grantees will be notified the second week of November.
As has been the case in the past, Community Trust grantmaking is done through a community driven process. Boulder County residents volunteer to review grant applications and make funding recommendations. Community Foundation staff manage the review process, facilitate committee meetings, and present Community Foundation leadership with the committees’ grant recommendations.
Community Foundation Boulder County values inclusive and transformational leadership and has embedded and institutionalized diversity, equity and inclusion in its grantmaking. Thus, inclusion at all levels of the organization is a critical part of our application review. However, the use of our previous requirement for diversity charts as a part of the application is under review.
In the interim, organizations applying for funding through the Community Trust grant cycle will have the option to either provide a diversity chart, or respond to two quantitative questions about the diversity of their organization’s board and staff. The information will be considered in the assessment of your application, and if one or the other is not completed, the application will be declined.
We very much look forward to reviewing your ideas that inspire action around current and future needs countywide!
