We intend to notify Community Trust 1 grantees in late September if they were awarded a grant for 2022 and Community Trust 2 grantees will be notified the second week of November.
Grantmaking is done through a community driven process. Boulder County residents volunteer to review grant applications and make funding recommendations. Community Foundation staff manage the review process, facilitate committee meetings, and present Community Foundation leadership with the committees’ grant recommendations.
In 2021, Community Foundation Boulder County embarked upon an extensive process of analysis and stakeholder feedback to determine the best possible use of these grant funds for the community of Boulder County, and overwhelmingly participants asked we hold off an additional year before implementing the findings of this process. We heard you, and the Community Trust focus and process remains the same for the 2022 grant cycle. We will have much more detail in the weeks and months to come about what we’ve learned from the community about how these insights will affect 2023 Community Trust grant cycle.
We are so thrilled to be back to work on this important initiative, and very much look forward to reviewing your ideas that inspire action around current and future needs countywide!
