Connecting local nonprofits and small businesses to financial resources

“As the federal government responds to the COVID-19 crisis, many nonprofits find it increasingly challenging to navigate new programs, such as Families First and CARES acts. We want to help nonprofit leaders better access government resources.”

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Social Venture Partners (SVP) Boulder County has launched a new initiative to connect local nonprofits and small businesses to financial resources at state and federal levels, effective immediately through June 2020.

“As the federal government responds to the COVID-19 crisis, many nonprofits find it increasingly challenging to navigate new programs, such as Families First and CARES acts,” says Joshua Silberstein, CEO, SVP Boulder County. “We want to help nonprofit leaders better access government resources.”

Support for this effort comes from a Donor-Advised Fund established at your Community Foundation by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as part of a national effort to co-fund the localized community priorities.

Adds Joshua, “Collaborating with the Community Foundation in this way allows SVP Partners and staff to provide personalized, one-on-one consultations with nonprofits leaders, as well as group video calls and webinars that will help inform and guide dozens of essential nonprofits in navigating unfamiliar territories, deepening their resilience and reserves, and emerging from this crisis stronger than before.”
